A specialist in kilims since the early 1970s, the TRIFF gallery has largely contributed to making these weavings known in France and Europe. Since its creation, the gallery has always favored the criteria of quality, authenticity, aesthetics and originality for the choice of its kilims.
Early 20th century kilim from the Shahsavan tribes, northwest Iran
This kilim is a beautiful example of the stripes woven by the women of the Shahsavan tribes. The wool is dense and lustrous. The different shades of red, blue and brown are highlighted by the beige.
Kilim end of the 19th century, from Malatya, center-east of Turkey
The kilims from this area are very fine and the pattern is very precise. That one offers a lot of patterns, with very bright and deep colors and perfect colors combination. Very fine wool and strong weaving
Mid-19th century Kilim from the Hotamiş tribes of south-west central Anatolia
This piece is exceptional because of its age. Its motifs are both very primitive and very elaborate, and the colours used give a real vibrancy to the weaving.
Late 19th - early 20th century kilim from north-west Iran
This kilim is a very good example of the weaving of this region. The wool is very tight and the patterns perfectly executed, with a lot of finesse and irregular zigzags in the borders that add fantasy to the ensemble.
Very solid, perfect for a large entrance or corridor.
